ACCREDIA accreditation
ACCREDIA evaluates the technical competence and professional integrity of the conformity evaluation operators (Laboratories and Certification Bodies), verifying compliance with mandatory regulations and voluntary standards in order to ensure the value and credibility of the attestations they release (see Documents in www.accredia.it).  ACCREDIA is member of EA, IAF and ILAC.

CATAS testing laboratory is accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 with accreditation number 0027.
Apposition of the mark or any reference to the accreditation do not imply any responsibility of ACCREDIA on the contents of the test reports and hence on the approval of the samples tested.

Authorizations, notifications and acknowledgements

CATAS is authorized by the Italian Home Office to issue test certificates for the fire reaction sector necessary to obtain the ministerial homologation.

CATAS is authorized as a conformity assessment body for construction products according to the UE Regulation N. 305/2011 dated 2011, 9th of March (CPR).

CATAS has been the first Italian institute to be recognized by the California government (CARB) as third party certifier on formaldehyde emission from wood based panels. At a global level, CATAS is  TPC (Third Party Certifier) n° 16.

CATAS is member of the American Association BIFMA.

CATAS is recognized for the lead analysis on children furniture by  U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

CATAS is approved by IKEA.
